Many companies find Mechanical Integrity compliance of pressure vessels, pipe systems and pressure relieving devices, rotating equipment, instrumentation and emergency shutdown equipment under CFR 1910.119 is the most difficult of the fourteen PSM elements to address. This is undoubtedly due to its complexity. MAI can provide a wide variety of services to assist in providing a good mechanical integrity program. These services can be tailored to the clients needs.
We have written whole mechanical integrity programs for clients and assisted in implementing them. We can provide system walk down services to include P&ID verification, field sketching, system tagging and CADD services for PSM covered equipment.
We have written inspection programs for clients that meet the requirements of good engineering practices. We can provide inspection program oversight, coordination, and engineering evaluation of API or ASME code compliance. The oversight activities can include coordinating contracted inspection services and contracted insulation removal.
Engineering evaluation can include resolving code compliance issues (third party interruption), recommending remediation when warranted, and prioritizing discrepancies found during inspections. Moore and Associates, Inc. can provide third party inspection database setup or management for the client, which allows the use of multiple inspection services.
We can also provide Mechanical Integrity Program audit services to verify program compliance with CFR 1910.119. We have assisted in writing preventive maintenance procedures to meet the intent of a good Mechanical Integrity program.
